IP Lift

Turn your invention into a disclosure professionals take seriously.

Describe your idea in your own words. IP Lift writes the structured disclosure — background, summary, a labeled diagram and a full written description — and hands you a document you can put in front of a patent attorney, an investor, or a manufacturing partner. Minutes, not weeks.

Free to start. No credit card to write your first disclosure.

What you get

A document, not a chat transcript.

Every disclosure comes out the same shape, because that is the shape the people you are about to send it to expect to read.

A structured disclosure

Title, background, summary, and a full written description — the sections a patent professional reads first, in the order they expect them.

A labeled diagram

A block diagram of your invention with numbered reference components, drawn to patent-drawing convention and captioned as a figure.

Files you keep

A Word document you can edit and email, plus a session file that restores your whole working draft. Yours to download, yours to keep.

An IdeaKey

A shareable summary that describes what your invention does and what you need — without disclosing how it works. More below.

Delivered your way

Download your reports, or have them emailed to any verified address on your account. You decide where they go, and nothing is sent unless you ask. Each is named after your invention, so it is findable a year from now.

Not kept a moment longer

We remove invention content from our systems as quickly as is technically feasible. The copies you download are the lasting record — by design.

IdeaKey™

Show people what you have without giving it away.

The hardest part of an early invention is not writing it down — it is the conversation after. You need an attorney, a manufacturer, or an investor to understand enough to say yes, and every extra sentence you send is a sentence you cannot unsend.

An IdeaKey is the part you can send. It states the field, the maturity, the kind of help you are looking for, and who you cannot work with — and it leaves out how the thing actually works. Recipients can confirm it is genuine on our verification page before they reply.

What the invention is stays out of the card. That is the point.

How it works

Three steps. You stay in the driver's seat.

You are not filling in a form for a machine to grade. You write what you know, review what comes back, and change anything you disagree with.

  1. Describe your invention

Plain language, as much or as little as you have. What problem it solves, how it works, what makes it different. No forms, no format.

  2. Review the draft

Each section appears as it is written. Read it and edit anything that missed the mark. The diagram is built from your description, not guessed at.

  3. Download and share

Take the Word document and the diagram. Publish an IdeaKey if you want to be found. Send the disclosure to whoever needs to read it.

What we deliberately do not do

We do not file anything for you. IP Lift is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. A disclosure is the document you bring to a professional — it is not a patent application and filing one is their job, not ours.

We do not keep your invention. Content is removed from our systems as quickly as is technically feasible, so the files you download are the record that lasts.

We do not send your name to the AI. The models that help draft your document receive the text of your invention and nothing that identifies you.

Where this is going

A place where inventors and the people they need can find each other.

Today an IdeaKey is something you send. Next, it becomes something people can find. Attorneys looking for work in their practice area, manufacturers looking for products to build, investors looking for something early — searching a directory of inventions described safely enough to be public.

If you invent

List an IdeaKey and be discoverable by the specialists who work in your field — without publishing anything that costs you your position. Turn a listing off at any time.

Available to every account once the directory opens.

If you serve inventors

Patent attorneys, prototypers, manufacturers and licensing agents: search by technical field and USPTO art unit, see what the inventor is actually looking for, and approach only where you fit.

Vendor accounts are in design. Terms not yet set.

Tell us to keep you posted

We will email you once when the directory opens, and not otherwise.

Tokens are what the work costs — a disclosure, a diagram, an IdeaKey each draw from the same balance, so you are never buying the wrong unit. Token packs are available on every paid plan for months that run long.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Is this a patent application?

No. What IP Lift produces is an invention disclosure — the document an inventor brings to a patent professional so that professional can understand the invention quickly. Drafting and filing an application is legal work, and IP Lift is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

Does using an AI tool put my patent rights at risk?

Writing a disclosure is not a public disclosure. Your content is not published, not shown to other users, and not used to train anyone's model. That said, the timing of public disclosure genuinely affects patent rights in most countries, which is exactly the sort of question to put to a qualified attorney before you publish anything — including before you make an IdeaKey public.

What happens to my invention after I download it?

We remove invention content from our systems as quickly as is technically feasible. That is deliberate: the less we hold, the less there is to lose. It also means the documents you download or receive by email are the record that survives, so keep them somewhere you trust.

What does the AI actually see?

The text you write about your invention, and nothing that identifies you. No name, no email, no account identifier is sent to the model providers that help draft your document.

Someone sent me an IdeaKey. How do I know it is real?

Use the verification page. Enter the invention ID printed on the card and the inventor's email address, and we will confirm whether it is a genuine IdeaKey and whether that inventor is currently looking for help. An IdeaKey card is emailed by the inventor from their own mail account, so checking it is worth the fifteen seconds.

Can I edit what the AI writes?

Yes. Every section can be edited directly, and the diagram can be modified. Nothing is final until you download it.

Do you offer refunds?

To be confirmed Our refund terms are being finalized alongside pricing. Until then, if something goes wrong, write to us and we will sort it out.
